Chi Tang, MD

Dr. Tang received his undergraduate degree from Duke University where he majored in biomedical engineering, and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Michigan, and a subsequent year of fellowship training in PM&R sports medicine at Washington University.


His clinical interests include Shoulder and neck injuries, medical acupuncture/dry needling, musculoskeletal ultrasound, sports-related injuries, evaluation and non-operative management of all musculoskeletal injuries, fluoroscopic guided lumbar and peripheral joint injections, electrodiagnostics, and injuries in tennis players.


His research interests include evaluation and nonoperative management of shoulder disorders, hip-spine syndrome, medical acupuncture, and the use of ultrasound in musculoskeletal medicine.


As a second language, Dr. Tang is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
