Charlie Cox, MD

A native of Memphis, Dr. Cox obtained his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University with a major in biomedical engineering and earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha.  He fulfilled his orthopaedic training at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans, serving as chief resident in his final year, followed by completion of the Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  He also obtained a Master's degree in Public Health from Vanderbilt University and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  He is a team physician for Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, and the Nashville Predators NHL hockey team.  He is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
